  • Good value, good location, excellent food

We stayed overnight here and had booked direct on the website for the bed breakfast and evening meal. With the upgrade they provided it worked out as extremely good value. The welcome was good and they have a decent choice of beers and wines at the bar. We had the special on the menu for the evening meal which was cooked to perfection. Then the breakfast turned out to be even better!
Even though we were staying in a room overlooking the main road, the village is pretty quiet and we got a good nights sleep.
The only negatives were that a little bit of repair and decoration was needed in the room
and the breakfast staff needed reminding of our existence. If I was exploring this area for a few days , I would definitely think about using this place as a base.

  • Really enjoyed short break

Stayed here on a Travel Zoo advertised deal- a 2 night stay for 2 with breakfast plus dinner on the first evening plus a free pass of our choice which included Blenheim, Heritage Motor Museum, Bletchley Park, Warwick Castle etc etc at a total cost of £199. The hotel is lovely – set in a quiet village – nice restaurant and bar and full of character. The staff were very friendly and professional – especially the exceptional lady in charge. Breakfast menu was extensive and cooked to order. The evening menu was very varied- I am picky but was well suited so we ate there on both evenings.
Really enjoyed our stay – and recommend.

  • One of our favourites

This was our third stay at the Deddington Arms over the last few years so I guess we must like it here! My wife has some mobility problems nowadays so they kindly allocated us a ground floor room in the main building near reception, much appreciated. We were able to park very close to our room too.

As before we booked with the Travelzoo offer, so two nights for £99- per person B&B with £50- per room credit towards the first nights evening meal. The offer is now a little more expensive as you used to get the evening meal included on both nights, but you still get a ticket each to a local attraction. Blenheim, Warwick Castle etc. This time we did Bletchley Park.

Having said that I found that the evening meals had gone upmarket some since our last visit, they used to be very nice and now they are even nicer. The breakfast was very nice too.
The hotel is well situated for Peartree Park & Ride for Oxford and for touring the Cotswolds.
    It’s a great place..

  • Outstanding value

We fancied a couple of days away and found this hotel via a third party contacted hotel direct and got a better deal.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay dinner bed and breakfast both nights, Very nice room great meals (please bare in mind this is an old coaching inn from the 16th century so some of the rooms might be a bit unusual in there layout) but still highly recommended
